Unpaired Apple Watch but no backup

Hi all

I have just bought a Series 2 Apple Watch. I unpaired my original Apple Watch, which took a while as it took a backup.

However, when I paired my new watch, the latest backup I was offered was October 2016.

My original watch was running WatchOS 3.2, but the new watch is running 3.0.

If I updated my new watch to 3.2 and then unpair and repair, will I then be offered my most recent backup?

Yes. You need to update your new watch. You can check settings and storage on your phone and see if your backup is there just in case.
