Unplugging Keyboard Often: Problem?

I'm thinking of buying a USB keyboard, that I would plug into my monitor (my monitor has USB ports).

I don't use a screen saver, but I turn my monitor off every time I leave the computer for more than 30 minutes, or so.

My monitor only delivers power to the USB ports when it's turned on. So every time I turn my monitor off, it would be just like unplugging they keyboard.

Can anyone think of a reason why this might be a problem?
