Had a voicemail a week ago, listened to it, deleted it, then cleared deleted messages and the notification went away. But ever since then it keeps coming back, hangs around for a while then goes again. Any way to fix this?

Happens to me sometimes too (UK, EE). Never found a consistent way to get rid of it.

Jeez, well that sucks then. (UK O2). Something else to moan about at my Apple Store appointment at the weekend then.

The blank red flag comes one when visual voicemail is unavailable usually when signal is low approaching no service or sometimes during voice calls when I guess more signal is being dedicated to the call. Nothing to do with unread mail as this would display a number.

Oh OK so this is more of a "no service" warning? (New to iPhone you see)
