Would really appreciate any help anyone could give. I previously owned a Seagate USB HD without any issues at all, but wanted eSATA/USB and larger drive size...so, I purchased a Fujitsu 120 GB, 7200 2.5" drive, installed it into a Coomax enclosure...erased/formatted/etc, etc.

Here's my dilemma...when I plug it into my laptop (PowerBook G4 with Leopard) or my MacMini (PPC Leopard), it isn't recognized at all (with or without the extra powered USB plug it came with), not even in the Disk Utilities.

BUT...if I plug the External HD in (with USB), then restart the computers, then there it is. I can use the HD normally. Now, if I eject the drive, then unplug it, wait a few seconds and try to plug it back in again...then nothing. It only is recognized if I boot the computer with the HD plugged in. Very annoying, reminds me of Windows 95 before USB support.

Any ideas? It's a brand new drive and since I technically 'can' use the HD, I figure it isn't a bad HD (as it's recognized every single time on reboot). I am going to try it on my iMAC Intel CoreDuo at work (which runs Tiger), but if it does the same thing I am assuming it isn't a 10.5 OS issue, either.
