Unresolved business logic issue

As a new member, having had a birthday gift from a family member, I am dismayed to find out that there is an unresolved business logic issue, which will allow me to own a MacBook Air, but because I live in a different country to the place of purchase, I am forbidden from buying any software.
Does this come under 'unfit for purpose' and/or 'dodgy trading'?
Any help or views?
