Anyone experiencing freezing or no response from the touchscreen?

I have been having this issue for the past couple of updates. It is not related to having multiple apps open... (That is one ofthe first thing I tell my end users to check when they complain of issues.) I have have as little as 3 to most 7 and experience the issue. None of the apps are (IMObservation) hardware demanding either.

This issue happens on my iPad2, but my girlfriend has had it happening with her iPhone 4s and 4... Her iPad1 is fine... but it does not have ios5...

The hardware buttons still function, but the touchscreen is unresponsive...

The only way to fix the issue is do a hard reset (power button and home button).

Does anyone else have this issue? I know we expect a lot from apple, but they also promote a lot... I know they too are not perfect, but i need to know if these are more hardware issues that need to be replaced or buggy software...

Not to flame or be flamed, but it seems to be more and more bugs with these apple updates... I resorted to telling my end users to hold off on all updates untill tested in the past. Looks like I will keep this in effect. My co-worker and long time apple fan always gets on my for updating, he just does not for this very reason.
