Unresponsive trackpad after wake

I have a 2017 MBP 15, and sometimes I notice when I open the lid, the force touch trackpad is completely unresponsive. My only option is to hold down the power button and restart. I have searched and this issue has been around since 2008 with no resolutions. Does anyone else have this issue?
