Can anyone tell me exactly how this work? I bought it last night, mainly because I want to airplay the Time Warner Cable and Amazon Instant Video Apps to my Apple TV.

I enabled those two apps in settings. When I start a video, bring up task switcher, swipe over to airplay controls, I am able to select airplay to AppleTV, but nothing happens. When I select "mirroring" it does put the video on my TV, but it is at my iPhone/iPad's resolution and looks kinda crappy.

Is mirroring all this app does, or am I missing a setting somewhere to make it work properly.

Thanks.

The screen mirroring is built into the iphone/ipad so that app has nothing to do with that. As for the app i have not used it so i do not know.

Don't some apps (like the 2 I mentioned) block airplay and mirroring?

Its suppose to allow you to airplay apps that are normally blocked.
IE HBO

App makers are allowed to disable the mirroring feature within their app. Amazon Prime does this.

In regards to the OP, I use UnrestrictPremium only for the Amazon Prime app and have had no problems. I am able to get real AirPlay (full 1080p, not mirroring) from my iPad to my Apple TV. I think I do remember it not working the first time I tried it. But a simple reboot fixed the issue IIRC. Try rebooting? If that doesn't work, do you have other tweaks installed that might be interfering?

I did not know that, thank you! This tweak sounds useful.

Where do I buy this app? I couldn't find it in the App Store.

Cydia.

Has anyone been able to get this to work with the Time Warner Cable app? If so, please share how you did it. I finally got it working with Amazon Video, but the TWC app tell me video is not available or something.

I think Unrestrict Premium automatically installs xcon. I had FakeTimeWarner installed already to get around this.

It works with TWC for live streaming over Airplay Mirroring, but it will not work with any ondemand content.

I somehow got the TWC app to stream the live station via true airplay one time, but I do not know how I did it and I can't replicate it. Does anyone know what combination I used to get it to work?

It's an annoying, convoluted process that seems to have disappeared with the most recent update. On the iPad, it used to be that you would have to do the following in this exact order to enable true, full screen, HD AirPlay:

1. From the home screen, turn on AirPlay mirroring by double tapping home button and scrolling over until you see AirPlay options menu.
2. Open TWC TV app. It will mirror to the screen but will NOT fill the screen yet.
3. Select and start streaming the channel you want to watch.
4. Double click the home button again, scroll back over to the AirPlay settings, and flick the Mirroring switch to OFF. The video will then play in full true HD AirPlay. However, after you flick the Mirroring switch to OFF, you can NOT touch any other settings or close the task bar or the app will crash! Wanna change the channel? That's a whole other ordeal. To change the channel, you have to flick the mirroring switch back to ON *BEFORE* you close the task bar. Once it's back in mirroring mode, you can close the task bar, change the channel, and then rinse and repeat from step one above.

As annoying as this process was, it was a viable solution to the problem. However, with the most recent 2.13 update to UnrestrictPremium, I can no longer get this process to work and I'm again looking for a way to make the TWC TV app display in full screen with AirPlay. If anyone has any solutions, please let me know.

Did that work for on demand content or just live content?
