I was in the Apple store the other day and while waiting for a iPhone battery replacement played around with their laptops.
They had a MB, MBA, MBP 13 and a MBP 15 next to each other.
I made sure on app was running then I ran Garage band for a few minutes to play the same song for a minute, immediately starting iMovie while Garage band was playing.
Then I ripped out the power cord on all three and checked activity monitor to expected remaining Battery life. Then I got these numbers (BM, MBA, MBP, MBP15)
8h 30 min, 7h 30 min. 5h 30 min and 4h 30 min.
Is this realistic? I have aMBP 15 myself (2017 which also was what I tested here in the store) and I usually get around 5h of real time use. Not too light nor intensive tasks.
The MBP 13 is the one with Touch Bar.

To me if you are a light user the MB beats them all when it comes to battery time provided you don't use anything too CPU intensive. I have tried similar tests earlier and every time MB seems to come out on top. What is realistic battery time to expect from a MB. I am planning to give my iPad to my son and get a MB instead since I rarely use the iPad for anything but reading and MB would work as well for that.

Thoughts?

So any input from current MacBook owners if this is about right?
