I like the idea of the music/radio center for my room.
Technically I have a slight idea how to do it but a little knowledgeable guidance is needed.
I have an Intel i5 500Gb MacMini. I propose using it with an iPad, an external DAC/Preamp, and an Analogue Amplifier driving my speakers.
The goal is to power and connect the iPad to provide touch control of the MacMini giving me access to online music. my own digital library and radio websites for plays etc...

1/ is this all feasible
2/ is there a one-off piece of kit to do all of it instead (output power req'd for speakers >50W/channel)
3/ best and simplest solution using mt kit if possible (I have an external CD player for ripping)

If this is not the right forum would someone please move it to the appropriate place - thank you.

Sounds like an awesome project. If you use iTunes, you should be able to do most or all of this, assuming you can load your radio stations in iTunes. Then use the iPad as an iTunes remote with the Remote app. That’s what I would try anyway !
