Untethered IOS 5 is coming!

I'm not too bothered about untethered for the JB itself as I'm quite happy with untethered, I'm more bothered about the fact this could mean a 4S JB meaning more chance of getting Siri on iP4 sooner.

You mean tethered. Additionally, pod2g mentioned untethered iOS5 jb which is not the same as jb for the iPhone4s. The iPad2, which uses the same processor as the iPhone4s has been out for months and there's still no jb for it, regardless of what version of iOS you're running on it.

My iPad2 begs to differ, yes there is not iPad2 IOS5 JB, but that's not been out for months.

ehhh..

My iPad 2 wifi runs on 4.3.3 with an untethered jailbreak with Jailbreakme.com

Thanks for the correction. If its a userland exploit it should work with 4S and iPad 2 aswel.

If it is a userland I guess they will only release after 5.01 and hope the loophole isn't patched, that way we all could have the battery drains fix.
 
I stand corrected. Too many benefits with iOS5 for me to stay on ancient iOS releases.

Exactly. I have been jailbroken for two years, almost three, and I let it go for the first time ever in order to go up to Ios5. What I miss the most is 3g Unrestrictor, and Infinifolders. If I could have just those two things, it would make my day...

I ran the redsn0w tethered jb for a while then switched to Sn0wbreeze because i wanted iBooks to work. I have yet to have a problem with the tethered jb. I was a bit uncertain about doing this but have found out I never power off my phone.

Could be months away for us 4s users i dont hold out a lot of hope especially with ipad2 taking so long and only ever having the one exploit
