Untethered JB for 3GS 4.3.3?

Just got a replacement 3GS on 4.2.1 and though I've googled and searched this forum, I can't figure out whether I can have an untethered JB yet if I update to 4.3.3.

I know a tethered JB is available, but I also got the impression that for 4.3.3 3GS, one of the 4.3.2 untethered methods will still work - i.e. RedSn0w or PwnageTool. Is that true? If so, which is best/easiest?

If not, I get the impression there'll be a 4.3.3 untethered coming soon - is that correct? Sorry if these questions are a bit stupid, I couldn't find clear answers anywhere...
 
thanks, but one thing: for my model it says 'point at 4.3.2 firmware image' - I'm assuming I can download the firmware from here and use that, even though I never downloaded 4.3.2 via itunes?
 
Should only be a short wait for the 4.3.3 untether, as i understand it the same exploit still works.
 
i just used redsn0w to jailbreak 4.3.3.... does that mean it's tethered? because honestly i dont want to have to deal with that again...
 
Yes. Just wait, the new redsn0w will probably be here by the weekend. If it is like the last one they did you will just have to run redsn0w again to untether.
 
you should jailbreak while youre on 4.2.1 so you can downgrade later on after you figure out 4.3.xx is a fat cow.
