I'm sort of encountering a variety of mixed information from my Google search, mostly because the previously most popular information is dated.

Last I checked, the only way to upgrade by jailbroken iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and maintain the use of my Gevey was to "tether unlock" it- so I'd have to reconnect to my Macbook when I want to reboot (or if my battery dies).

Has that changed? Is there a procedure I can undertake which will allow me to switch to iOS5 without tether?

I'm currently running 4.3.3, baseband 4.10.01

Sim interposers work on stock or jailbroken iPhones
However, there is a Cydia hack "FuriousMod" which assists with smooth operation on jailbroken 5.0.1
Have you checked the supplier's website ? Applenberry.com
That is where I would be if I had questions.

Thanks. Checking the Apple'n'Berry website proved enormously helpful!
Somehow it didn't occur to me. Appreciate the tip.
