Somehow i did something stupid when trying to get rid of windows 7 beta partition from my HDD(something along the lines of just erasing the partition, not uninstalling windows 7 first) and now the disk space is still partitioned, therefore unusable. Is there anyway to merge this partition back together with my mac one?

Ive seen another thread on what seemed to be a similar issue, but it didnt seem to help.

thanks

Boot to your OS X installation disk and run Disk Utility immediately after selecting your language. It is under the Utilities menu on Tiger and later. Click on the hard disk in question (not the partition) on the left and then click the Partition tab.

From here, you can select the old partition that was used for Windows and click the "-" button to remove it. Then simply resize your Mac partition to consume the now empty space.

Click Apply. Reboot when the operation completes.
