I have a Mac Mini I access remotely often and recently I've been having some problems with the nano editor. I'll usually ssh to the computer, change a config file with nano, restart some process and keep going about my business. However sometimes, I've noticed that a nano instance remains alive sometimes and uses up to 100% cpu usage. Once I even had 5 nano processes using about 20-25% cpu usage each. Odd thing about this is that it doesn't seem to slow down my computer. Like I can still access it via ARD, SSH to it, etc, without delays. Usually when CPU usage is around the 90's, managing the computer becomes a hassle because everything responds slowly.

Any idea what might be happening to cause this? Searching hasn't turned up much, mostly because every search for something nano related brings up the damn iPod nano. Thanks.
