Unusual Macbook Advice Needed

Ok, I need some advice. I just bought a macbook 3 weeks ago. Just found out I have to leave the country from 12-16 weeks. I can not bring my macbook with me. How do I keep it/store it? Obviously the battery is going to run down in 12-16 weeks. I just don't want to come back & have a damaged macbook...

Computer turned off, battery at about 80 %, not plugged in.

May I ask why you can not or do not want to bring it with you?

As long as you shut it down you should be ok. I am sure there are many retailers that have MacBooks waiting to be sold for a couple of months in warehouses, etc.
