Unusual mark on new MacBook Pro 14

My new MacBook Pro 14 has a shadow type mark on the left hand side of the Apple logo. This is not a shadow. Any idea what this could be? Photo attached, thanks.

It's a special edition "Bruised Apple."

If that is something that will continue to bother you, and you are within the return period - return it.
(or, at least take to an Apple Store to find out what Apple might do for you)

Or maybe it's from the eraser? Or collateral damage after some incident?

It arrived 1st March so should be within return period.

Since it doesn't wipe off return it definitely. That's a pretty bad blemish for a new MBP if you didn't cause it.

It seems to have disappeared by itself. I think it's some kind of condensation. Not that computer was in any odd temperature conditions.
