Unusual Shading on Screen Edge New Unibody MBP

I got my new MBP about a week ago. I have noticed that on a black screen, the edges appear lighter. Is this a common problem, and what are the chances that Apple could fix it.

That is called light bleed. That's how LCDs are born with. It can be reduced but not eliminated.
