iPad Unusually slow charging time iPad 4?

I have owned my iPad 4 (128GB, Verizon LTE) for about four months now, and wonder if other owners experience slow recharging times?

I haven't timed it, but right now mine is at 68% (up from 21%) after 3+ hours of charging.

I'll time a charge from 0 to 100% when I get there, and report back, but 40% in 3 hrs seems about average for me.

I'd like to hear from other iPad4 owners whether or not their units have similarly long charging times?

I see huge variations, based on the mA / watts provided by a given power supply. Have you confirmed with at least one other USB socket that it's still slow? Something over 1000mA (1 amp) is best for the high capacity batteries in 3s and 4s.

I plug into the grid with the included charger.
