What can be the source and purpose of these entries?

krb5kdc is listening from :::88 proto=6

I don't know what to make of it yet.
I never saw this before, and in the last few hours, there are
a few entries.

I just happened to have the console open to monitor other glitches.

When I Googled the Title as I pasted it, there are several others
reporting the same thing.

So I'll take the tour and see shortly, and report back.

It's nothing sinister. It's OS X's Kerberos Authentication service.
