Hey!

I never understood why many zip and rar files act like mazes and are completely impossible to unzip / unrar in OSX. You unzip a zip and inside there is a rar that asks you access to another rar file that is missing etc etc..
I tried many different unzipping-software but I still have a lot of problems, especially with torrent files. Maybe there is something fundamental that I don't understand about this process?
There always seems to be different problems with each file so it's hard to give a specific description but I hope you know what I'm talking about?
Any general advice or tips about the best software?

Thanks a lot!

Generally if you have split archives, make sure they are all present in the same directory (they have sequential numbers in the name) and then just extract the first - it will find the rest.

This is free and works well for me (and does 7z as well). http://www.kekaosx.com/en/

Thanks a lot for your input!
Well, sometimes it still won't work!
Thanks a lot, will try that application.
