The past few weeks I’ve been seeing an issue where tne Apple TV app’s “Up Next” will revert to an earlier state. For example, the “Up Next“ will show the next episode of a show as episode 2. I watch episodes 3 to 6. When I exit the Apple TV app, it shows the next episode is 7, but when I check back later it will show that it’s midway into episode 3 or 4 or something. The same thing happens with movies. I can watch a movie I added to the ”Up Next” list, and it vanish out of the “Up Next”, but later on it’s back and I’ll have to mark it watched again. This started happening a few weeks ago and seems to be getting worse, in that it’s starting to revert back to an earlier state. Before it was only a few minutes earlier, but now it can be a few hours earlier. This happens on all my devices.

Any idea what’s going on?

I thought it was me. Up Next is all over the place, especially on Hulu programming. I thought today's update would help but seems the same.

Oh wow.... I thought it was because one of my ATVs is running tvOS 14 public beta

Mine seems to be working again. Not sure if it’s just a coincidence or if it’s fixed.

It is/was a server side problem so maybe Apple fixed it. I will say it’s much better than it was, but I’ve still seen issues from time to time.
