Up-to-Date Download on non-eligible Mac?

I have my rMBP arriving on Monday, but I would like to download the ML image ahead of time and create a bootable volume on my existing MBP -- as long as I have the validation code, will I be able to download the Install Mountain Lion application and have access to the .dmg even if I'm not on my rMBP?
