Up to date 'upgrade dvd' - does it let you do a clean install?

Just got my up to date disk but it says 'upgrade dvd' - can I use it to do a clean install? (not keen on upgrades!)

Also, anyone got a list of what I'd need to copy back over from time machine for all my personal files/documents/emails etc - is it just my home folder?
