Hi 👋🏻

I’m on 18.3 on my iPhone and iPad.

I have a timed appointment on Monday 31 March 2025 in my calendar. It shows twice on the calendar widget on both of my devices (see attached screenshot).

There’s definitely only one event in the calendar. I’ve deleted it and then none show on the widget. I’ve re-added it, but it still shows twice on the widget.

To test, I’ve added the same timed event but for a different day (28 March) and it shows only once on the widget on that day. I’ve then deleted the actual event on the Monday, then edited the test event to move that to Monday, but it then appears twice again on the widget.

It seems for some reason that any event I add specifically for 31 March 2025 shows twice on the widget. I’ve used the calendar widget ever since this style of widgets became a thing on iOS and not come across this before. Has anyone else encountered this before?

I tried adding an event on Monday and didn’t get the same results. Very weird bug.

Hey!

I had the exact same issue, with a timed event on the 31st of March that was causing my widget to behave like that.

I’ve tried everything, uninstalling the calendar app, restarting my iPhone but unsuccessfully.

Exactly like you, the problem comes back if I add any event on the 31st.

Not sure if this is related, but I live in the UK and summertime starts on the 30th here.

Really weird and annoying bug.

UK based here too.

When I enable the UK Holidays calendar there’s two events tomorrow - British Summer Time and Mother’s Day. But it’s duplicated on the widget on both the iPhone and iPad (see screenshot).

Now I’ve turned off the UK Holidays calendar on both devices, it’s now only showing my boiler service appointment once on the widget now as it should, rather than duplicating it!

I’m wondering if it is to do with putting the clocks forward for British Summer Time as you say. Very odd bug! Never encountered it in previous years.
