How long does it usually take apple to release the follow-up updates with bug fixes and such?

Usually a x.0.1 update comes a month or so after the x.0 update, and a x.1 update gets released about 3 months after.

Would the wifi issues and keyboard glitch (if it is software based) be addressed in 6.0.1 or 6.1?

There is no rules for when things happen with Apple,
but the rule of thumb is that the more prominent the bug/glitch is to their picture perfect design (design does not mean looks only), the faster it is fixed.

Im getting my iP5 today, so idk how bad they are.
