Update Apple Remote Desktop 2.2 to 3+?

So my company has a 5 user license of Apple Remote Desktop 2.2 which only supports the PPC architecture.

Is there no way to update it to support the Intel Macs? It cost $299.99 and I'd hate to see that money go to waste because we can't update it.

I can install it, but it won't run because of the PPC required.

I don't know that theres a direct upgrade/update from 2 to 3 using your existing license but 3 is available for $80 in the Mac App store in 10.7 & 10.8 for $79. The bonus to upgrading to this version is its the unlimited client version.
