Update Hard Drive

Hello all,

I have a MacBook Pro 15inch late 2008 model.

I currently have a 320Gb 7200rpm Serial ATA Hitachi hard drive.
I'd like to buy a new HDD of 500GB 7200rpm and get it installed.

I'm concerned about compatibility issues. I have looked around I see that some Hard Drive SATA 3G interface. Would that be compatible with my mac ?
Are there any other elements I have to watch out for compatibility ?

Not significantly.

OP, you need any SATA 2.5" drive, so the one you described would work.

Depends what you are doing really, it is only slightly noticeable IMO and you will get used to it.
