Hello all,

I have a MacBook Pro 15inch late 2008 model.
http://support.apple.com/kb/SP499?viewlocale=en_US

I currently have a 320Gb 7200rpm Serial ATA Hitachi hard drive.
I'd like to buy a new HDD of 500GB 7200rpm and get it installed.

I'm concerned about compatibility issues. I have looked around I see that some Hard Drive SATA 3G interface. Would that be compatible with my mac ?
Are there any other elements I have to watch out for compatibility ?

Thanks for reading !

Yes that would work fine, but a 5400RPM drive will increase battery life
