Good evening all,

I finally figured out my issue after going to apple. My hdd tested fine so i decided to buy a sata to USB cable and a SSD enclosure.. eureka! I just force boot into the external SSD. I have ordered a new hdd ribbon and will replace it this weekend.. I was wondering if anyone could possibly confirm that it is infact my ribbon cable before I install a new one. (I figured it is since my SSD is working through the usb cable)

Yes, what you did is the way to test. If the same drive won't work internal but does work external, that points to a bad internal cable. Fairly common problem.
