Update - How to keep Cydia files?

I'm currently running on iOS 4.1 JB on a 3GS.

I'm wanting to update to iOS 5 but I was wondering if anyone knows how to keep most of my cydia downloads? Anyway of saving them so that I can just redownload them all later in the future?

How do I get my SHSH stuff btw? I never done that before.
