Should I upgrade my iPhone 5s from ios 7.0.5 to 7.1? Besides the jailbreak, is there any benefit in keeping 7.0.5? I also heard there were issues with battery drains and wifi/bluetooth connectivity in 7.1

I would never upgrade from a JB'n iPhone5s. JB'ing adds so many features - e.g., f.lux and call recording.

Simple question: if you want a JB stay on 7.0.5 and if not update because 7.1 is better in almost every aspect than 7.0.5.

I'm keeping mine jailbroken until the iPhone 6 comes out. Then I will sell the jailbroken phone which will hopefully fetch a higher price.

If you really want to keep any of yourjailbreak tweaks, then don't upgrade.
However, 7.1 is better in every aspects compared to previous version. It's much faster and more stable. I chose to upgrade mine because I prefer the boosted speed, but it's your choice really. As for that nasty SSL bug, there's a tweak that patch it without updating. I really suggest that you install it if you don't upgrade.

Never been fan of JB and how it makes my phone sluggish anyway so I know what I would do. But then like others have said, if you like JB then you don't wanna lose it by upgrading, so I would say stay with 7.0.5. If JB don't mean much to you, just go for the update.

hell no. do not upgrade

The animations are much faster, there are new features, my battery life seems longer.

Noslowaminations. Can make animation speed however you want.

Battery life doctor pro or I cleaner fixes this issue.

All of those new features will be in cydia store within a day.

mine is far from sluggish, actually runs better than non-jb

a non-jb iphone is almost pointless imo

until you try it people have no idea what simple options/features they're missing

Trying to figure out what on JB can make an OS run smoother then it actually runs?? Anyway, sorry i find it hard to believe you. By the way, If i really wanted the JB experience I would totally switch to Android which lets you do just as much, perhaps even better. And yes, I think people do have idea what the JB is about and what it does, but I think not everyone is after countless of tweaks and stuff. Some people want things simple, for that reason they choose apple devices.
