Is there any way to update (yes update, not downgrade) from ios11 to ios10?
My phone is totally ****ed with the update, the OS update turned my phone into miserable pile of dog ****. It's not the battery and I don't have lots of stuff running, I strongly believe that the OS is buggy as hell and I want to fix it by reverting to ios10. I know that apple stopped signing ios10 and I wasn't able to revert for that reason. So, is there any other way, I'm ok to jailbreak it, hack or whatever but to revert that failed miserable ios11 to ios10. There is another option to fix the problem by buying a newer iphone, however, after that failed ios11 and battery/cpu throttling news I decided not to feed my money to apple anymore.

I have two iphone 6 devices and one of them still has ios10.3.2 and works perfectly fine no issues whatorever, the other one became total crap after ios11 was installed. Is it possible to backup ios10 phone and then restore that backup into other iphone6?

Thanks
[doublepost=1514253638][/doublepost]FYI, I'm not a heavy user, and the other iphone6 with ios10 wasn't used much (mainly for work, and stayed totally discharged sometimes for weeks) and both of them post identical geekbench CPU results totally inline with online scores, so the ios11 phone issues aren't battery/cpu related.

The simple answer is no. Apple no longer "signs" (authorizes) iOS 10 for installation in any iOS device. One of the first steps during any installation/update is that little dialog, which most people ignore or don't notice, that goes something like "Authorizing Installation Software." Apple owns the software, even after it is loaded on your phone (really... read the TOS) so they can and do control what devices it may be installed on. So there is no legitimate way to downgrade.

It MAY be possible to do it illegitimately via jail braking. Now if your next question is: "what's jail braking," I would answer you by saying: "Don't ask." In your situation it could possibly create more problems than you already have.

A clean restore of iOS 11.2 made my old 6 my kid uses prettty usable, worth trying. Recent headlines suggest a battery repalcement might help as well.

Whatever it is you want to call it, refer to it as, label it or speak of it as - it is not possible as already stated.

When a jailbreak for iOS 11 drops (there currently is none) then it becomes a possibility if other conditions are met - a lot of which your phone may not meet. It all depends on what happens.

So, while jailbreaking MAY be an avenue at some point it also may NOT.

If I factory reset iPhone, would it switch to whatever old iOS version the phone had? and that iOS can be jail broken so that I could install 10.2 or 10.3, right?
Then I would need to restore some of the things on my phone (emails, photos, docs, whatsapp, messenger, facebook). Would I be able to restore if the back up is made from current iOS and the target device will run ios 10?

As I said, I'm sure there are no battery issues, I tested it. It's the failed OS. Total trash

No. It would install a factory fresh copy of the latest "signed" OS. As of right now that would be iOS 11.2.1. And to be blunt, the very fact that you are asking these questions demonstrates that you are nowhere near ready to take up jail breaking. If I may suggest:

I have a 6 plus that was behaving very badly on iOS 11. The battery was testing OK but I changed it anyway. Presto! The thing behaved like new (or at least much better than it had). If you're determined to tinker with it, buy a battery kit on Amazon, one that includes tools. You'll pay a fraction of what Apple charges for a battery replacement. Watch some of the many "how to" videos on youtube and give it a try. See what happens, you may be surprised.

Actually, an Erase All Contents and Settings would simply restore to the version of iOS already installed - signed or not.

You are probably thinking of an iTunes restore, which would do exactly as you mention.

You’re right. I’ve always done my restores in iTunes as that’s where my backups live. But as far as the OP is concerned it’s a distinction without a difference. He still won’t get to a lower OS.
