Update iPhone4 to iOS6 Before Selling?

What I should have asked was would it sell for more one way or the other?

Someone gave me a new 4s and I prayed they hadn't updated it to 6.

I will not downgrade to 6.

I was not happy that Apple obsoleted my iPad 1, but now I don't care.

I dont recommend you ever do this when selling a device. Its not difficult to to update the firmware. So leave that choice up to the buyer. They might want to leave it at 4.xx or 5.xx forever, and might even be specifically looking for a device that comes with older firmware.
