ijust bought my macbook pro 13" today and there is a software update for the site that says is recommended for the 15" and 17"... am i suppose to update my 13" computer also with this update..?

thanks for answer!!.. i was just wondering if this software update had to do with the different graphics chip thats in it..or not..it just says recommended for 15in and 17in.. but does that mean i still can install this update and if it were necessary

As moocat already said, just use the Software Update program. If will check and find any applicable updates. There is no need to download an update from Apple's website unless you are downloading a combo update to fix a botched OS X update installation.
