Update MSN Messenger - .bin ?

I cannot update my MSN Messenger...it downloads the update as Messenger.bin onto my desktop, I try to run it using stuffit 11 and I get the message "The file does not appear to be compressed or encoded. It is advised that you obtain further information about the contents of this file from the sender of provider of the file."

Anyone have any idea what's up with this?

MS now uses .dmg files See this link (get the top file). Though TBH Adium and aMSN are much better MSN clients.

Andrew, what did you do to solve your problem? I have the same message all the time.
