Update on 3G Unlock

I like most 3G users are at the edge of my seat waiting for the brilliant minds of the Dev Team to release the Pwnage update with the unlock for the 3G. Has anyone read or heard anything recently about a potential release date?

Personally, I don't care so much about the 3G software unlock, as I do the 2nd gen iPod Touch jailbreak.

I'll never own one, but the future of iPhone jailbreaking may depend on it.
