Yesterday I received this rather dodgy-looking email which I presumed was a scam. The today I get a notification on my phone asking me to "update payment details". I can't recall ever having this before. I have actually just received an updated debit card and I've entered the details into Apple Pay etc but the notification is still there. I'm not sure what I can do to make the notification go away. Maybe it will vanish once Apple attempts payment again?

Once I looked at the email again I can see that it comes from "do_not_reply@email.apple.com" but the very first sentence looks very scammy, especially as I'm in the UK.

I solved the problem. I had to update my new debit card on my Mac Mini by going to my account in settings, then clicking on "payments and shipping" then going to "account.apple.com". Trying to update from my phone wouldn't work.
