Update SD card reader? When!

Why has Apple not updated their card reader to use the SDXC cards.

My camera does ExFAT format on the cards. Seems like Apple should be able to update to be able to use this.

Actually, that number won't do a lick of good since anybody who interacts with the public over the phone isn't going to tell you anything like that.

As for SDXC, forget about it, Not only does Apple want you to use their own cameras (which don't use SD cards), they have no motive to switch away when SD is still the majority standard anyway.

Exactly which model of Mac are you referring to? Running which OS version?

The following article says that SDXC and exFAT are supported, with a minimum OS version of 10.6.5. If you're using 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion, then it should work now.
