Hi,

I'm from Brazil and i bought my iphone at ebay, so I don't know if it's factory unlocked. I checked at cydia and I didn't find any source/app related to unlock, like blacksn0w, redsn0w and others.
My iphone is the MB046LL with firmware 05.11.07 and I'd like to know what I have to do to update to iOS 4.
Can i simply restore my iphone from itunes then update to iOS 4 and after that do the jailbreak? What's the problem with this procedure?
I can't understand when you say that first we have to update to iOS 4 then install Cydia, I mean, after update it, won't it be locked? so how can I access cydia!?

Thanks

Don't I have to worry about firmware and boot loader versions. Downgrade to something... and all this stuff?!

thanks

thanks :)

and what do I have to do to restore straight to ios4?

sorry, i didn't understand.
what do i have to do: update or restore?

tks

ok,

just one more question.
i'm considering delete everything from my iphone. is there a problem if i click restore?

but it'll restore to ios4 or the original version that came with the phone?

thanks for all the replies!

do you know how to discover what unlock method was used?

I like to help people but you are beyond help.
Find someone thats comfortable with computers and tech in general to do it for you.

i was just asking some questions that nobody hasn't ever answered in any forum, and you did.
