update to outdated iOS-Version

Hey there,
I'd like to know if I will still be able to update my iPod Touch 4G from iOS5 to iOS6 after iOS7 is released.

For now, iOS6 would slow me down overly much, but at some point most apps will require iOS6, so it would become the preferable option.

Yes, you will be able to upgrade to iOS 6 after iOS 7 is released. The iPod Touch 4 is not supported by iOS 7 so Apple will keep signing iOS 6 for it.
