Update to watchOS 5.1.3 while staying on iOS 12.1.1

Hi guys,


I wanted to ask if anybody knows if it’s possible to update to the just released watchOS 5.1.3 while staying on iOS 12.1.1.

I don’t wanna update my iPhone because I’m hoping for a jailbreak to arrive for 12.1.1 and I’m worried that if I update the Apple Watch that I can’t use it anymore until I update iOS to the latest version as well.

Anybody has any experience with that?

So in case I’d hit the update watch button my watch would become unusable until I update the phone or I just can’t install it?

You simply just can’t install it.
However, minor version update might be a bit different. I would go search online for more info before making a decision if I were you.
