iPad Update unjailbroken iPad 2 to 5.1.1?

Hi

I think I'm in quite a bit of a fix here. I wanted to jailbreak my niece's iPad 2 (currently on iOS 5.1). I thought I could upgrade it to 5.1.1 and then jailbreak it. Turns out that Apple has stopped signing 5.1.1 and 5.1 can't be jailbroken. I don't have any SHSH blobs or anything of the particular device (since it's never been jailbroken).

Can anyone suggest what I could do to jailbreak this device?

I believe your only option is to wait for a 6.0 jailbreak. If you don't have any blobs saved then you're stuck at 5.1 or 6.0.

There are 6 to 8 existing threads at the top of the stack about this exact same issue (iPad2 and iPhone4S)

Since Apple stopped signing 5.1.1, it cannot be done.
