Updated 3GS to ios 4. Can it jailbreak? Want to sell.

I made the mistake of updating my 3GS to ios 4. Now when I am trying to sell it on Craig's list everyone is telling me that it can't be jailbroken now and is not worth the $300.
I see on the internet that there is already a jailbreak for ios 4. Am I wrong?!

you are right, but you have to downgrade to 3.1.2 first.

Only if you have the old bootrom, and you are able to downgrade to 3.1.2, I believe.
