Updated 3GS to ios4 and lost 3G data

When my son's 3GS phone was updated to IOS4 he lost his 3G capability (no Internet). Has anyone else seen this problem? Will call AT&T later but wanted to check here first.

My son-in-law is having the same problem. He can connect to the internet via is home Wifi, but can't connect with 3G. Tried rebooting and resetting network settings with no luck.

Same thing happen to me. All you have to do is restore your phone and set it up as a new phone instead of back up.

I come to find out he didn't set up the iPhone on either a MAC or a Windows PC. He said something about a UNIX OS. That gave me a good laugh. He probably went to Pirate Bay or somewhere.

Oh my... what are they teaching kids in college these days. He is studing Engineering at a major UC.
