Updated Adium and Growl, now growl isn't working.

I use Growl to tell me when a contact signs on and off, and when I get new mail with GmailStatus. I updated Adium to .84 and updated Growl to 0.7.2. Whenever I press "Start" to turn Growl on, it says "launching" and then "Growl is stopped." I kind of depend on this to tell me when people get on so could someone help?
