@Forest Expertise I think it is useful if you open an issue with existing 10.4 problems (I mean, important ones, like broken Ninja, not every single port which cannot compile) in PPCPorts Issues, so at least we are aware of the current status without trying locally and can contribute fixes.

Understood. I had hesitated to do issues in the past, as I had known PowerPC ports is primarily focused on 10.6 and 10.5.8 for ppc64, so I didn't want to muddy the water with mentioning 10.4.11 problems without a pull request to fix the problems I brought up. Honestly, I was hoping to rebase the patches for ninja, but the underlying code has changed so much that I have not been successful on my attempts.

A single umbrella issue for everything 10.4 is fine and useful. (We indeed do not want to have per-port issues for 10.4.)
