Updated JB iPhone 2G 2.2.1 to 3.0 Becomes Non-JB?

Hi,

Recently I upgraded my jail-broken phone to 3.0 by pressing "update" in Itunes. The upgarde went well but I lost Cydia. I am still able to log on my carrier (Smartone HK), which is not an "offical iPhone carrier".

My questions are:

1. My phone is now unlocked but not jail-broken?
2. How to get Cydia back without loosing my SMS, call history etc?

It's normal. Make sure you've got a current back-up of the phone, then run RedSn0w to jailbreak. After that you can restore the call history etc.
