Updated to 4.3.3, small "messages" glitch? Am i the only one?

I frequently rest my phone on something in the landscape position so I noticed this right away. With the messages app running in the background, when switching to it, it opens in vertically then rotates to horizontal every time.

Everything else that rotates, when in background, will open back up in landscape mode. I found the messages app is the only one that does it.

Am I the only one?

Mine does it, however, I never noticed it until you mentioned it. Doesn't bother me.

Mine does that. Are you sure that's not the way it's always been?

EDIT: If I close messages in landscape, then lock my phone and receive a message, I slide to unlock and it opens messages in landscape.

It does this on iOS5 b3 too.
