Yeah, you don't need to turn your phone off

Update and use as normal

Personally I don't think it's a good idea to let your battery run down to 0 everytime you use it.

Just keep topping up the battery when you can and let it drain once a month or so.

----------

If your phone is lasting 1 day or more of normal use, ie using the phone for its intended purpose such as phone, email, messaging, video, music, iCloud... Then you have normal battery life.

Constantly monitoring usage in settings and comparing is silly.

Updated a few days ago to 5.0.1 and finally had a day off to be able to run it completely down to 0% and now charging back up to 100%.

Even before this calibration I was getting 7 hours of useage and about 24 hours of standby so if calibrating the battery helps then anything it does is pure gravy to me...

i only use music and email thru gmail.com. the push kinda sucks. maybe cuz i'm coming from a BB. and i backup to my PC

Both my iPhone 4s' sat on 1% for a long time too.

I also leave it overnight then charge the next day. Old MacBook air habits.

Yeah 1% last forever, on the weekends last it even longer for me cause twitter is dead ha ha and YouTube definitely kills battery fast

"Calibrating" the battery is useless and pointless on today's devices. 5-6 years ago, maybe but not these days. Alot of people are in the habit of charging it like they used to 5-6 years ago, which is fine, but it's not helping or hurting your battery.

so a cal. vs non cal the 1% would last just as long so to speak?
