Updated to newest 8.4 beta 2 - no health data

I backed up in itunes, restored to 8.4 beta 2 and now my health data is gone.

anyway to bring it back? or what setting can i check to make sure this doesn't happen again?

I don't know but even if I could I wouldn't want to add them. I'd have a lot of data to enter.

Right. If it won't let you add one the app is broken and won't keep track anyhow. I really don't know why they just don't have it synced to iCloud

You need to use an encrypted backup to save your health data. I've learnt this on the hard way, sorry, you can't recover your lost data, it's gone.

That would be a major security/privacy risk. Would you like it if your Apple Pay details and your Touch ID fingerprint data were synced to iCloud too?

There are some things that are too sensitive to be in the cloud.
